What you’ll do: Lead!

The right candidate is an outgoing, collaborative, flexible compensation & benefits leader. CircleCI needs a leader in this role who understands how to tackle the challenges of today's employment market and keeps an eye on the future. Expert, savvy, and wise about the ways of compensation, they're a servant leader with a deep understanding of how to scale differentiated total rewards programs. This candidate also has a reputation for thoughtful execution, leading projects and teams, and driving results that improve overall employee engagement.

At the core, they are a communicator and influencer and is as comfortable with a senior executive team as with line employees needing information about compensation specifics benefits programs. Along the way, this candidate loves to build relationships and partnerships that will help land their efforts for the long haul. The People team members who surround them are similarly inspired to follow their lead.

We're looking for a leader who can:

  • communicate a vision, direction, and required efforts to build long-lasting programs, frameworks, and total rewards efforts that attract, inspire and retain our outstanding employees
  • write and manage plans, policies and proposals that will make work and life different and inspired for our employees
  • work and interact directly with our executives, CEO, CFO, VP of People, FP&A and Controller, and associated teams on the multi-year compensation philosophy, strategy, plans, and implementation
  • evaluate predicted market trends and recommend updates to leaders on compensation and benefits plans that align with company strategy and objectives
  • guide pay equity studies, compliance, and pay for performance programs to sustain our competitiveness as a sought after employer
  • deliver quantitative insights from your established modeling skills that are applied to proposals, decisions, analyses, and support executive decisions
  • apply high emotional intelligence to guide executives and leaders through compensation and performance complexities where influence and relationships are as meaningful as data and logic
  • apply their savvy with HR information systems to recommend business cases for change, when appropriate
