# Project usage dashboard

The Project Usage dashboard gives you a breakdown of how your CircleCI credits are being consumed within a specific project. Use it to understand spending patterns across workflows and jobs, identify cost drivers, and make informed decisions about where to optimize.

The data on this page is directional. It is intended to help you understand relative spend patterns and trends over time, but must not be used as a source of billing truth. For authoritative billing information, refer to your [Plan Usage page](https://app.circleci.com/settings/plan/usage).

## Availability

The Project Usage dashboard is available on **CircleCI Cloud** plans. It is not available on CircleCI Server installations.

## How to access

You can reach the Project Usage dashboard from two places:

**From the Project Overview page** — Open any project, then select the **Usage** button in the top navigation area.

**Directly via URL** — The dashboard URL follows this pattern:

```
https://app.circleci.com/projects/<vcs>/<org>/<project>/usage
```

## What the dashboard shows

### Summary metrics

At the top of the page, a row of metric cards shows aggregate credit consumption for the selected time period. Each card includes a comparison to the prior period so you can see whether usage is trending up or down.

### Usage over time

A time-series chart shows how credit consumption has changed over the selected date range. Hover over any point to see the exact value for that day.

## Data freshness

Dashboard data is sourced from CircleCI’s internal analytics pipeline and is typically available within a few hours of pipeline completion. Recently run pipelines may not appear immediately.

### Breakdown by workflow and job

Tables below the chart break down credit consumption by workflow and by job, letting you pinpoint which parts of your pipeline are driving the most spend.
