Run jobs on Windows Server 2019
Last week, we officially launched our support for Windows Server 2019. With the new release, your team can now unify your CI/CD pipelines by running Windows, Linux, Docker, and macOS jobs all in one workflow. The extended support lets you build with your favorite Windows tools like PowerShell, cmd, or bash, on demand. Access to Windows VMs requires an upgrade to our flexible, usage-based Performance plan. CircleCI releases Google Binary Authorization orb
We are proud to be a launch partner for Google’s recent general-availability release of Binary Authorization, a security control for container images deployed on Google Kubernetes Engine. Our Binary Authorization orb simplifies the process of validating images that are built, tested, and deployed using CircleCI, ensuring only those images that have been signed by trusted authorities during the CI/CD process can be run on GKE. Read more about this orb in our blog post.
CircleCI announces support for DevSecOps
We recently put our support for DevSecOps to practice by releasing a new set of partner orbs focused on security. While DevOps teams have historically focused on automating the building, testing, and deployment of their applications, DevSecOps more pointedly considers security risks at all stages of the development cycle. Our latest orbs can help your teams automate security gates to increase security without the risk of losing velocity. Read more about our DevSecOps orbs here.
Highlighted orbs
If you or members of your team are based in San Francisco, we invite you to join us for Orbs 101, a hands-on training session to learn what orbs are, and how they can help you automate your development process quickly, safely, and at scale. Please register for a free ticket on Eventbrite and join us for the workshop at our SF office on August 22 from 12pm-5pm. Orbs 101 is for anyone who uses CircleCI and would benefit from packaging frequently used config.
Please register to receive “Know Before You Go” materials that will enhance your experience in the workshop.
