Today we announced our Series F round of $100M led by Greenspring Associates, with Eleven Prime, IVP, Sapphire Ventures, Top Tier Capital Partners, Baseline Ventures, Threshold, Scale, Owl Rock, and Next Equity Partners. Thank you to our customers, community, partners, investors, and team.

This latest investment allows us to invest as well; in our product, our community, and in our people. We build for the builders of the digital age: developers. Our goal is to help developers deliver high-quality code quickly. And while our community of leading engineering teams knows that CircleCI is a gamechanger in terms of developer productivity, performance, and happiness, there is still a huge opportunity for us to help engineering teams thrive.

Research from McKinsey shows that best-in-class tools are the primary driver of developer velocity, and that organizations with strong tools, particularly for CI/CD, are 65 percent more innovative than bottom-quartile companies. And while best-in-class tools are the top contributor to business success, only 5 percent of executives ranked tools among their top-three software enablers. There’s a clear underinvestment in tools that make developers more productive, and ultimately, businesses more successful.

With this round of funding, we will continue to invest in our platform, building out our Insights dashboard, expanding our fleet of 20+ compute options, and making it easier to host your CI jobs wherever you want - in the cloud, on self-hosted runners, or on a private server. We also plan to keep innovating, bringing on more features like dynamic config, private orbs, and test insights. We’ll do this while keeping CircleCI the fastest and most performant platform for continuous integration and delivery available.

We’ll also continue to invest in our people. Growing the world’s best CI/CD platform means continuing to grow our world-class team; today, we have over 70 open roles in the US, Canada, Japan, Ireland, the UK, and Germany. We look forward to continuing to support our growing team with competitive compensation and benefits: development and wellness apps and tools, education and personal development stipends, industry-leading transition-related healthcare, four employee-led and company-sponsored employee resource groups, and a quarterly, company-wide day of rest.

As part of today’s announcement, we also welcomed Stacey Epstein as our first independent board member to our Board of Directors. Stacey is currently CMO at Freshworks and brings her depth and wealth of experience in enterprise software to our board. Welcome, Stacey.

Finally, today we also welcomed the team at Vamp to CircleCI. Based in the Netherlands, Vamp is the first release orchestration platform, designed to make delivery user-focused, risk-free, and rollback friendly. We acquired Vamp and brought on their entire team of 15 employees to help expand our footprint into release management and connect the feedback loop from CI/CD even farther into production.

Thank you to our customers, community, partners, investors, and team.
