1. Sweepstakes Description
The CircleCI Q4 State of Software Delivery Survey Sweepstakes described at https://circleci.com/q4-sosdr-pulse-survey/ (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Circle Internet Services, Inc. (“CircleCI”). CircleCI invites eligible individuals (“Entrants”) to complete the Q4 2026 State of Software Delivery survey (the “Survey”) for a chance to win a prize. (1) prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
2. Sweepstakes Period
The entry period begins on October 21, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ends on November 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the “Sweepstakes Period”). CircleCI’s clock is the official clock and the sole determinant of whether an entry was received within the Sweepstakes Period.
3. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are (a) legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, Canada (excluding Quebec), or the United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, or Switzerland, and (b) at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in their place of residence, whichever is older, on the date of entry. The Sweepstakes is not open to (i) employees, officers, or contractors of CircleCI, its affiliates, or its marketing, advertising, or promotion agencies, or the immediate family or household members of any of them; (ii) employees of a competitor of CircleCI; (iii) officials or employees of any government, government agency, or government-owned entity, to the extent acceptance of a prize would violate applicable gift or ethics rules; or (iv) residents of any country or region subject to U.S. embargo or comprehensive sanctions, or persons on any U.S. restricted-party list. Employees of current or prospective CircleCI customers may enter, but are solely responsible for confirming that their employer’s policies permit them to accept a prize.
4. How to Enter
There are two ways to enter. Each Entrant may submit only one entry in total, regardless of the method used.
(a) Survey entry. Visit https://circleci.com/q4-sosdr-pulse-survey/ during the Sweepstakes Period, complete the Survey, and submit it with a valid work email address and answers to at least one question. Submitting the Survey with a valid work email address is your entry.
(b) Free alternate method of entry (no Survey required). During the Sweepstakes Period, send an email to surveyprize@circleci.com with the subject line “Q4 Survey Sweepstakes Entry” that includes your first and last name, your email address, and your country and state or province of residence. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on November 15, 2026. Entries submitted by this method have the same chance of winning as Survey entries.
Your entry is not conditioned on how you answer any Survey question, on granting permission to be quoted or contacted, or on opting in to any CircleCI communication. Entrants understand that submitting an entry does not mean they will win. Incomplete entries, and entries that do not include a valid email address and the Entrant’s name, may be disqualified. Entries made by bots, scripts, or other automated means, or on behalf of another person, are void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the Entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned to an email address by an internet service provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
5. Drawing, Odds, and Notification
On November 16, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time, CircleCI will select (1) prize winner (a “Prize Winner”) in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period, from both entry methods combined. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Prize Winners will be notified by email, at the address submitted with the entry, within three business days after the drawing. Entrants are solely responsible for providing a current and valid email address. A Prize Winner who does not respond to the notification within five (5) business days, or whose notification is returned as undeliverable, may be disqualified and the prize awarded to an alternate winner selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. Canadian Prize Winners must correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question before the prize is awarded.
6. Prizes and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”)
Each Prize Winner will receive (1) Amazon.com gift card in the amount of $500. Total ARV of all prizes is $500. Gift cards will be delivered electronically to the email address used to enter and are subject to the issuer’s terms and conditions. Prizes are subject to availability, and CircleCI reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. Prizes are not transferable, and no cash alternative is offered. All costs and expenses associated with receiving or using a prize that are not specified above, including all applicable federal, state, provincial, local, and foreign taxes, are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner. This Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Amazon or Google, and neither company has any liability in connection with it.
7. Winner Verification and Tax Forms
Where permitted by law, a Prize Winner may be required to confirm eligibility in writing and, where required by law, to complete and return applicable tax forms (for example, IRS Form W-9 for U.S. winners) within ten (10) business days of notification. A Prize Winner who does not do so, or who cannot confirm eligibility, forfeits the prize, and CircleCI may award it to an alternate winner. Prizes will generally be delivered within four to six weeks after the Prize Winner’s eligibility is confirmed.
8. Agreement to Official Rules and Decisions
By submitting an entry, Entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of CircleCI, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes, including eligibility, selection of Prize Winners, and interpretation of these Official Rules.
9. Acknowledgment
By submitting an entry, you represent and acknowledge that your participation in this Sweepstakes will not violate any applicable law, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, the U.K. Bribery Act 2010, and any other anti-corruption or anti-bribery law to which you may be subject.
10. General Conditions
All prizes are awarded “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. CircleCI may modify these Official Rules where necessary to clarify them or to comply with law, without materially affecting the terms of the Sweepstakes. Entries made by automatic, programmed, or similar methods (for example, bots or scripts) are void. CircleCI may, in its sole discretion, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes if there is suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any part of the Sweepstakes, or if any factor beyond CircleCI’s reasonable control, including viruses, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical failures, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. CircleCI may disqualify any individual it believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, or acting in violation of these Official Rules or in a disruptive manner. Any attempt to deliberately damage a website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may violate criminal and civil laws, and CircleCI reserves the right to seek remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law. CircleCI’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules is not a waiver of that provision.
11. Failure to Comply with Official Rules
A Prize Winner may be disqualified, and the prize forfeited, if (i) the Prize Winner does not comply with these Official Rules; (ii) the Prize Winner is found to be ineligible; (iii) the Prize Winner does not respond to the prize notification within five (5) business days; (iv) two attempted email notifications are returned as undeliverable; or (v) the Prize Winner does not return any required eligibility confirmation or tax forms within ten (10) business days of notification. If a Prize Winner is disqualified, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected at random.
12. Release and Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, by submitting an entry, Entrants release and hold harmless CircleCI, its affiliates, and its and their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, agents, and promotion agencies (the “CircleCI Parties”) from any liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind to any person or property arising in whole or in part from participation in the Sweepstakes, or from the acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of a prize, or any delay in receiving a prize. Entrants agree to indemnify the CircleCI Parties against third-party claims arising from any violation of these Official Rules by the Entrant.
13. Limitation of Liability
CircleCI is not responsible for (a) lost, late, damaged, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries, or entries received through impermissible channels, all of which may be disqualified; (b) technical failures of any kind, including failures of any computer system, network, website, server, hardware, or software; (c) unavailability or inaccessibility of any website or service; (d) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process; or (e) printing, typographical, electronic, or human errors in the offer or administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Entrants’ remedies are limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees, and Entrants waive any right to punitive, incidental, or consequential damages. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
14. Governing Law
Except where prohibited by law, all disputes arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes or any prize are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles, and any such dispute must be brought only in the state or federal courts located in California. This section does not limit any mandatory consumer protection rights an Entrant has under the law of their place of residence.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
16. Privacy
CircleCI will use information collected from Entrants to administer the Sweepstakes, including to verify eligibility, select and contact Prize Winners, and deliver prizes, and as described in the Survey privacy notice at https://circleci.com/q4-sosdr-pulse-survey/ and in CircleCI’s Privacy Policy at https://circleci.com/privacy/. Entering the Sweepstakes does not subscribe you to any CircleCI marketing communication. Information from entries submitted by the free alternate method will be used only to administer the Sweepstakes, except as you separately choose.
